Owned!
It's at the hospital right now and I'm using the grad computer lab in the library. I hope to get it back by the end of the week!
And of course, here's Emily, churning her way towards land. Reminds me too much of last fall; just when we got things back to normal (or not!) here would be another storm, or two or three, coming down the pipeline. It was like a conveyor belt at one point.
Onward and upward. . .

Got my computer back -- hard drive fine, no one has any idea why I got the "no bootable drive detected" message. Now my upstairs a/c is out so I'm camping out downstairs on the inflatable mattress. It's like some kind of cosmic obstacle course.
I dunno about Emily; she looks like she rounds the caribbean corner on Sunday and then it's anybody's guess who gets lucky.
FSU wasn't closed; apparently only closed two days from Ivan last year. That's a big contrast with Rollins and Valencia; they lost so many days to the three '04 'canes that there simply was no way to make them up without having the students stay all through Christmas break. The administrators were worried that the students would not have enough classroom time to meet the requirements set by the accrediting body for college credit, but in the end they just had to give up. You can't fight Mother Nature.
